Anatolia built the original protocol that runs Alpenglow. She designed the Schedule, the Tower, the leader rotation, the slot length, the founding logic of nearly every ritual the city now performs without thinking.

Two years ago, she walked out of the city, climbed to a cabin above the treeline, and stopped speaking publicly. She still writes — short, cryptic letters that arrive in the city by Gulf Stream three or four times a month — but she does not visit, does not vote, and does not respond to requests from the new guard or the old.

The season's central question is whether she will come down when Votor's system activates.
